Maximillian is honestly such a fascinating character. but beyond that it's so interesting to see the class antagonisms and interdependencies between merchants, knights, and princes articulated by Maximillian himself in such clear and succinct terms.

it's weird because these stores actually completely illegal despite many of them being open here. people on the street were saying it was some kinda rival/organized crime thing. but i don't know.

i mean, it's obviously bad in the short term and should be banned and all that. but it does give me a lot of hope to see that developments in the productive forces could seriously be beginning to undermine capitalism's strongest arguments in serious ways.
