I like TF2, computers, and writing.
But I also think that part of it has to do with ease of reading and clarity. When there's so many things moving around on your screen and you yourself are looking around a lot, it becomes a lot harder to pick out something like a dot and it makes more sense to have a big plus or whatever.

I've also noticed that in games with more movement, players generally seem to prefer larger or more detailed crosshairs. It's fascinating and I have some inklings as to why.

It could be that a lot of these are just holdovers, older players that come from an era where a larger xhair was more popular

I kind of want to make a blog post talking about crosshairs.

I've noticed a general trend amongst modern gamers to move towards more minimalistic crosshairs. You see a lot of dots and even transparent ones amongst the aimers that really care. It's odd and I'm not quite sure how to explain it.

It's such a strange phenomena. It's like I somehow lose the ability to keep track of where the dot is on my screen so using something larger helps me get that intuitive feeling for the center of my screen back.
