Maybe "almost nothing"?* archive.org for one has amassed over 20 million books and texts over 20 years. Though it's only ~5% of the volumes at the British Library or Library of Congress, it's slightly more than nothing archive.org/details/texts

Um, 1kW "around the clock" is 24 hours * 1 kW = 24 kWh. Which is about 40% more than 17 kWh, and 66% more than the 14.4 kWh the graphic says are delivered. Right?

Though announced in September, my guess is that they've spent ~6 months transmitting petabytes to the new EU copy of the Internet Archive, reducing capture frequency to free up bandwidth: mastodon.archive.org/@brewsterkah...

Like Cochrane reviews for journalism, the nytimes public editor was a must-read for me, always at the intersection of current events and institutional inertia, exhaustively researched and fact checked. The fact that they were a PITA is a 100% necessary feature to force journalistic introspection.

Presumably, 2 hrs was chosen because of the amount of surveillance video to be reviewed. Perhaps the video could be pre-processed to reduce the manual review needed? No AI needed.
