Try to always carry on - my main suitcase is sized for that. On return from a vacation that depends on whether I want to being back a liquid, like a bottle of wine or whatever.

I have a standard packing list in a spreadsheet that I’ll open in a new tab and modify. I include everything on the list so that nothing falls through the cracks. And usually I’ll start a few days in advance but it depends on whether I need to do laundry first, which for me means sending it out.

Imagine people being willing to reevaluate evidence and adapt!!!
