I believe, they joined in good faith with diversity of voices and bailed when it was something else. So the fact that the website is something else isn't quite the gotcha. Again the entire movement was/is done online for anyone to see. She does has addressed this which is how I remember it.

Very interesting. ADOS as an organization can be very intense but also well-read and central focused. This seems to be the number one reason for their initial rise. And it is American Descendents of Slavery not slaves. www.adosfoundation.org/mission-stat...

Sorry at least 10 years with videos still left up online.

That is really odd. Since ADOS founders were always been Yvette Carnell and TONEtalks and initially Irami Osei-Friepong. Not hard to find them, they have been putting out content for at least six years.

Ah...that is debatable. They did provide great opportunities in the 70s-90s with their franchise business model. However, aligning themselves has hurt a brand that was already hemorrhaging.

Wow!

This regime clearly will not. They were clear on what they said they would do and have been executing to that end. Project 2025 was/is the playbook. The problem is the alternatives were not consistent in it. Though she has been the most qualified candidate for many years.

Of course not spelled that way.

I don't think anything about the outcome is optimal. However, silencing a group playing by the rules has not been an optimal strategy either. The gains toward fascism weren't undone after Bush 2 or Trump 1. We kept a lot of the infrastructure.

The "redline" wasn't for the genocide it was for our level of compliciteness in the situation. The US handled things similar to the way they did with Vietnam demonstrations and not just US countries.

Not sure about the watermelon images, sounds more MAGA. I do agree on the persuading to vote for someone else, especially when they forbade due process in Michigan, but not for this current administration?! That would be conflating two opposing groups.

A better predictor would be looking at some college, degreed and high school and the difference over the past 4 presidential elections. And look at the difference. Could this have been predicted?

That's crazy. Media pondered to this administration during his first bid, during his administration and during his run. They just looked at the wrong metrics. They like him because he keeps viewers glued to the screen. They are now feeling the Darkside of his sensationalism.

And yes, MLK was criticized for his stance on Vietnam and Palestine saying it would sideline the movement. Strikes and protests allow everyone to have skin in the game...

You are making and argument NOONE is arguing. The loss was due to low turnout on progressive side, same solid turnout on MAGA side. My thought is that hypocrisy on Palestine was one of the factors for the low turnout, but not the only one.

Very interesting. You have to shoot your shot just like dudes. Get a "no" and keep it moving. It's in the numbers. Regardless go where you are celebrated, not tolerated.

I might have missed part of the conversation, but not sure where low voter turnout and turned into voting for the current administration. Past leaders clearly in the past and present spoke out against the occupation in Palestine AND pushed forward the Black agenda. It wasn't either or.
