So I decided to show my students that they should not use LLMs to give them paleoinfo. I showed them the input, "What are the defining characteristics of the Tyrannosaurini".

Thankfully my established students no longer have a "Well actually" type of tone when new students say the term Sabertooth Tiger. They do stiffen though, and let me make a correction to the new students, because it is not fair to talk down to the new kid just because they had bad info.

I wonder if I should just randomly post some random West African history facts, like, if I want to talk about the political style of the Dahomey when they entered their dualism era.

One of the issues I have come across when teaching African history is people putting some of these cultures on a pedestal because of the continent they come from. They were human, subject to the same vices, desires and capacity for good as any other culture throughout history. Still, fascinating.

Hmmm. Might just use this place to talk African history and myths. Also prehistory, especially mesozoic prehistory
