yoshis are inherently difficult to draw because yoshi's appearance fundamentally hinges on a lot of difficult-to-translate design choices without making it look weird. the borderline "short eyestalks"-type eyes, the way the eyelids work, the chin and mouth being ambigous, the nose etc etc
