For additional context: Alex put his feet up in the extra seat next to him, the white woman sitting across from him complained that you're not meant to sit that way. Although it is a rule to not take up extra seats, that is only in the context that the train is full and in the video you can see there are over 4 empty seats and therefore he was allowed to take up the single extra seat next to him and absolutely in no way should have been arrested.

I haven't seen anyone else talk about this so I felt the need to inform! Alex O'Keefe, a writer for "The Bear," was arrested on a train for "not sitting correctly." Video linked in the post below.

An old white woman got on the train and immediately pointed at me and told me to correct how I was sitting. I refused so she went to the conductor and complained. The conductor called the police and stopped the train. While waiting for the police to arrive, the old Karen’s friend said “You’re not the minority anymore.” The police told me to leave the train, I refused and asked what was I doing illegally. They said I was disturbing the peace by not leaving the train. They pulled me off the train and arrested me without even talking to the Karen who reported the one black person on the train. On the platform, the police detained me and interrogated me. Only black folks stayed nearby and recorded the arrest. When I demanded a lawyer and reminded them they didn’t even take a statement from the woman who complained they eventually released me. This country is growing more psycho by the day. we gave the kittens a bath and got rid of the flees, they have turned the guest bedroom into the kittens' room until they're able to get a proper play pen/cage for them

update: the family has decided to keep them, they've got an appointment with the vet and have finally started eating and have much more energy now

hello! some family members found a couple of stray kittens potentially abandoned by their mother and we've been calling but no shelters will take them in (even some further away!), do any of you have any ideas or resources on what to do or how to take care of strays before we can get them a home?

after some rescheduling i finally got to make an italian dinner for father's day

- garlic bread
- antipasto salad with homemade vinaigrette (and cherry coke)
- cheese tortellini with creamy garlic sauce
- panna cotta cheesecake (my recipe)
twisted garlic bread on a plate. a bowl of antipasto salad with tomatoes, carrots and onions garnished on top. there are also two glasses of cherry coke in front of the bowl with ice cubes floating on top. two bowls of cheese tortellini, with cooked tomatoes and green onions as garnishing. two small cups of panna cotta cheesecake. the dessert is layered with a graham cracker crust at the bottom, then layers of cheesecake and a berry sauce in the middle, with cookie crumbs sprinkled on top.
