As some of my friends are ex-muslims, and I support their struggles, I join the ex-muslim community in the Ex-Muslim Awareness month to end the horrible treatment that those who decide to leave Islam receive in their communities!

I understand the positive aspects of religion when it comes to organizing society and providing a spiritual outlet, and dealing with suffering.

What I will never understand is how people justify the ridiculous dogmas of Islam. Ex. God is all good but he created all evil and suffering. #exmuslim

There is something so sad about giving up all your sense of justice to a sky god and being called evil for questioning when an “all good & merciful” god condones evil acts such as taking sex slaves. #exmuslim

The religion isn’t about peace at all despite them trying to say it is LOL

I feel more so bad for those Muslims that are living in countries that are so strict to the point where if they want to leave the religion, they will get killed.

The ability to question and just say something makes no sense or goes against my sense of right and wrong is the most liberating thing about being an #exmuslim.

Just being able to say, “yeah I don’t believe in that, that’s nonsense” is so liberating!
