In the case of my headcanon, Xie Lian's comment about Yin Yu's plainness feels very different!
Xie Lian smiles and says: "Such an ordinary face, wouldn't be noticed in a crowd at all" Yin Yu, who has a tattooed/branded face and short hair, cries big, happy tears with relief as he holds onto the Earth Master's shovel.
