Why should a game cost $60 anyway? It feels so arbitrary but that’s a price people are used to paying for a game.

There is little consistency across video game pricing vs something like books. Books are priced based on binding/printing/length(?) and while video games are based on….? Assets? Engine? I don’t even know. I wonder if people expect them to be priced how physical media is so they overvalue length.
