Hieman hämmensi YKAn tilaisuuteen mennessä, kun taloon sisään astuessani se olikin täynnä Kansallisarkiston väkeä. Mahduimme samaan taloon, vaikkei siellä vallankumousta valmisteltukaan.

Kannattaa olla Merkin arkistoon yhteydessä, jos ei ole digitaalisesti heidän kokoelmistaan saatavilla. Arkistossa on paljon kivoja kollegoja. Merkki löytyy myös täältä Blueskysta, jos haluaa pistää seurantaan (@merkkiin.fi)

Great stuff! But I do feel the need to remind us of the words of Carl Sagan:

"They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown."

Let's be careful out there!
Fun article about “outsider” scientists and their breakthroughs.

“Academia filters most funding, publishing, and hiring decisions through senior insiders, which favors ideas within existing paradigms.”

Kraken is quite a good name. I've been calling these kinds of collections sarcastically as gifts, but also just as dumps. Kraken suits better as encountering one has more excitement in it than receiving a gift or stumbling upon a dump.
