Don't sleep on Absolum. It's not only my favorite roguelite of the year, it's also one of my top games of 2025. It captures the best of Dragon's Crown and Streets of Rage 4-- every run feels like a real adventure and all the fights are so damn cool. I loved it. Keep the roguelite beat-em-ups coming.

I've been really enjoying Dying Light: The Beast so far. It does feel a bit safe and I wish it took some bigger swings, but it's very much a super-charged version of Dying Light 1, and that's cool with me. Also, Roger Craig Smith is still fantastic as Crane. It's a good time!

The Eyeball on Alien Earth is utterly diabolical, and yet I find it so incredibly compelling. I want to see it cause more chaos.

I reported an account called “kidsgettinghurt”, which had videos of cruel pranks and injuries on children, and it was totally fine according to their community standards. Instagram sucks.

I'm still thinking about this scene from the third episode of #AlienEarth. Babou Ceesay is incredible as Morrow, this scene was fantastic.

I really enjoyed Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. LizardCube's reinvention of the series is slick and very satisfying to play, and it is flat out gorgeous to see in action. The variety of Metroidvania-style levels, unfortunately, has some bloat, but the campaign is overall a fun ride. It's great stuff.

I'm very glad that a new generation of people will see the weirdness of Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and Special Forces. Well deserved additions to the collection.

Here’s another video I took of the protests in DTLA. These protests are about self-defense and helping the most vulnerable in our communities. I’m so inspired by everyone out in the streets. The LAPD and ICE are nothing but cowardly hoodlums.
