🚨 Big news: Congress just introduced the Enduring Welcome Act — a bipartisan bill to restore America’s commitment to Afghan allies.

Here’s what it does and why it matters. 🧵

“They served with us. They protected us. So no one who stood with us in war should stand alone in court,” said Shawn VanDiver @shawnjvandiver.bsky.social , president of @AfghanEvac.bsky.social. “Our allies are getting snatched up in court while following the rules. This is wrong and un-American.”

An Afghan ally who served alongside U.S. forces was legally paroled into the U.S. and showed up for his first hearing.

DHS detained him anyway—using a vague “improvidently issued” excuse.

He followed the rules.

We have the video.

This must stop.

I’m tired of hearing how much Members of Congress “care” behind closed doors.

If you’re not speaking up in public about the Afghan allies we left behind, then you’re part of the problem.

This week, a few stood up. Most stayed silent.

Enough is enough. Take a stand. @afghanevac.bsky.social

🚨BREAKING: The Trump administration has terminated TPS for Afghanistan.

This decision flies in the face of the facts on the ground—and the lives at stake.

Afghans in the U.S. deserve protection, not abandonment.

🚨 Breaking News 🚨
The Trump administration is considering a permanent shut down for Enduring Welcome, the secure pathway for Afghan allies who fought alongside American forces.

This would amount to an intentional dismantling of the system that kept our promises.
