I'm just one of those bisexual, bigender, polyamorous, kinky, anarcho-syndicalist, neurodivergent, Wiccan Canadians that you hear so much about.
The only visual representation that Charles M. Schulz ever gave us for the Great Pumpkin was in the Peanuts comic strip on October 30th, 1977. But it's a thematic illustration in the title panel, so it's not part of the actual story, and not strictly canonical. Yes, I know I'm being a nerd.

#TransgenderDayOfRemembrance seems especially poignant this year. The election results have a lot of transgender Americans scared about the future. But there are allies and resources, and there is organizing, solidarity and determination, and there is love, friendship and caring. And there is hope.

"With so many seeking to erase transgender people -- sometimes in the most brutal ways possible -- it is vitally important that those we lose are remembered, and that we continue to fight for justice." -Gwendolyn Ann Smith #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance #TransDayOfRemembrance

“Rita Hester was statuesque and glamorous. Usually clad in her favorite colors, black and purple, perhaps in a slinky tube dress adorned with ruffles, she was a familiar figure at Allston bars such as the Model Cafe and the Silhouette Lounge and at Jacque’s Cabaret.” #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance

Rita Hester was a transgender African-American woman who was murdered on November 28, 1998. An outpouring of grief and anger led to a candlelight vigil of about 250 people. This led to the first #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance the following year, to commemorate all transgender people lost to violence.
November 20, 2024 at 12:28 PM
#TransgenderDayOfRemembrance ceremonies usually include a reading of the names of those who've lost their lives to transphobic violence since November 20th the previous year. There may also be candlelight vigils, religious services, protest marches, art shows, food drives, or film screenings.
