It’s getting awfully quiet in BlueSky

Fa’s up for the game this Saturday?
December 18, 2024 at 6:26 PM
I’m in for the next round but it could quite easily be a big fat……
December 16, 2024 at 9:59 AM
I’m in but hardly worth it

2 bloody points
December 14, 2024 at 7:41 PM
Are we in for the midweek CL games

I’m in after missing last weeks

It’s contracts awarded by the government to give a set rate for energy produced by renewable energy

Where does the government get the budget to award that rate?
December 9, 2024 at 7:33 PM
I was thrown at first with the 1986 reference but realised you must have meant 76

I never got to see the best of Joey Harper as I was just a nipper when he was at his end of his career with Aberdeen

Contracts for Difference

UK Government incentivising low carbon renewable energy projects

You do know how the UK government gets its funding and devises its budgets don’t you
December 9, 2024 at 6:06 PM
Are you suggesting that Scotlands revenues that go to WM is not contributing to the CfD?

I agree that there are challenges but I refuse to believe they are insurmountable and don’t believe you can just reject off the bat without exploring the potential solutions
December 9, 2024 at 5:38 PM
As you agree they are profit making then options for continued development then
December 9, 2024 at 5:27 PM
Do you think the utility suppliers are making a loss?

😝
December 9, 2024 at 5:24 PM
Surely the storage is there to fill the gap when power generation is lower than consumption

There is lots of research going on to find solutions and locations from subsea to abandoned mines

You are being extremely negative.

You’re accentuating the negatives with a can’t do implication whilst the challenges definitely are surmountable and can be successfully achieved
December 9, 2024 at 3:51 PM
I do not disagree, but these are surmountable challenges.

No need for it to be tainted as a negative point
December 9, 2024 at 3:48 PM
I’m not sure you are correct there and I do read that they are researching options for storage

We produce more than we need, that’s a fact.

The storage issue should not be viewed as a negative but more than a challenge to overcome
December 9, 2024 at 3:12 PM
Storage can be a solution, and other alternatives as well

The fact remains that we produce more than we utilise so if we were to resolve the storage issue then we are in a very strong position

It should not be seen as a negative but a challenge to overcome
December 9, 2024 at 3:07 PM
Fully agree.

And Aberdeen remain the last team to beat Real Madrid in the final of a European knockout tournament
December 9, 2024 at 12:10 PM
Scotland generates sufficient renewable energy for its population.

The solution is an independent Scotland from which we would happily export excess energy produced

1……2…..Freddy’s after you
December 9, 2024 at 11:58 AM
Thought Milne had a very good game yesterday
December 8, 2024 at 9:58 AM
He would love to be a sheep but he’s not quite at our levels hence he has to settle for TSMSTID

😝
December 7, 2024 at 2:30 PM
It’s about the only United player I can pick out and that’s only because he had a good masters 😝
