Australia has the same problem with oil. Despite sanctions on Russian energy imports, millions of tonnes of refined fuel from Indian refineries processing Russian crude flow into Australian ports. Legally it’s “Indian oil,” but in reality a loophole that keeps Russian fossil revenues alive.
