What do you mean he wasn’t leaning in to kiss her here?! The way he’s looking at her, inhaling her floral scent, undressing her in his mind. He definitely kissed her, leaving her speechless, breathless. We only don’t see it cause they cut the moment to give them privacy…

The smallest parallel but it’s very much there, in 1.8 Galadriel puts the dagger to Halbrand’s throat he looks down at it & in 2.8 when he stabs her with the crown she looks down at it. They both can’t believe it has come to this. Some last hope shatters for each of them.

I keep intending to share some snippets for the next chapter of my Haladriel / Saurondriel fic Just One More Night but every time I isolate a section I’m like nooo this needs more editing but whatever here are two!
