It’s an HDD. Less reliable and slower than SSDs. You can find a lot of high capacity HDDs for significantly less than SSDs.

I think this really highlights the fact that, while this movie is a re-imagining of a movie a lot of us grew up with, another generation (who may not have ever seen the original) finds entertainment in it. Some of us forget that we’re not the target audience anymore and we have to live with that.
