Look at my fifteen year old kitten. He is so attached to me that he cries when he isn't in the same room as me. He figured out how to open a doorknob as a young cat so he could sleep in bed with me!

He'll be away from his human for sixteen days, fourteen of which in isolation.

Playtime for the game Rogue Legacy 2 is 231.8 hours and with 38 of 39 achievements. Playtime of the game FTL: Faster than Light is 166.2 hours, with 48 of 51 achievements. Four rogue-lite games are shown. The first is Slay the Spire with a playtime of 120.8 hours and 27 of 48 achievements. The second is Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale which is 114.4 hours. The third is Hades with 106.5 hours and a full 49 achievements complete. The last is Spelunky with a playtime of 104.7 hours and 15 of 20 achievements.

Hm. @thegamechief.bsky.social , do you happen to know who the writer was for Alpha Centauri for the secret project quotes? Lal's quote has been hitting me pretty hard lately and I wanted to know who to attribute it to.

How about a nice pair of photos of one of my cats? He likes laying in my lap pretty much whenever he isn't riding my shoulders and this was a particularly good photo of him just resting and being cute.

This is Zoan, he's nearly fifteen years old, and the blanket was made by my late father long ago.

I had chosen to leave her in the US, as she never got along with my other cats and she was just as attached to my then housemate as me. So I visited her whenever I came back.

And now she won't be there.

She was loved by all who knew her. And she will be remembered.

Boo Kitty passed away today of respiratory failure, according to my former house mate, who took care of her after I left for the US.

She was my father's cat when he passed away and moved in with my two cats and my housemate.

She was fourteen years old and an adorable cuddle bug. #cats #tw:petdeath

Long story short, Zoan (orange cat in profile pic) started his thyroid meds a few weeks ago - even to the point of no longer resisting his medication and just willingly licking it up. We think he started having a bad reaction to them starting Wednesday night.

Warning: sick kitty tale below.

Thursday morning, he vomited while getting his meds... and then couldn't hold food down. For over 36h. He lost around 12% of his body mass in that time and wasn't able to be his normal hyper self, barely functioning as a cat. At around 1:00a Saturday morning, when he couldn't even hold down Churu, we went to the emergency vet. Luckily, he actually wasn't dehydrated - his thyroid levels were very high though, likely due to not holding his meds down for 48h. He got a bunch of meds, especially anti-nausea ones, and instructions to contact his normal vet first thing Monday morning. Of course, this has been hideously expensive. My vet bills for this past month have been around 25000kr (or around 2200 USD) and I'll have more tomorrow. I can afford it, but when I'm going to be eating the cost of moving in a month it stings. Also, Zoan doesn't take kindly to meds. He took them Saturday early morning just fine, probably because he didn't have enough energy to resist, but he's been fighting me ever since. Outside of one incident of vomiting this morning, he's definitely doing better. He hasn't recovered any weight yet, but he has held down food the rest of the time. He's also still not eating much, even with the appetite stimulant, but he's at least eating something. I'm not okay. I'm not close to okay, I'm so scared that I'm going to lose my orange boy, or he won't be well enough to travel when I move to Denmark. My partner Kriatyrr is at the cabin at the moment, so it is just me and my cats here right now. I spent two days doing nothing but working, cleaning up vomiting, and crying - barely getting sleep in there because he woke me up overnight multiple times by throwing up on top of me. After that, for this weekend I've been sleeping, making sure Zoan stays okay, and just trying to distract myself instead of getting any of the things done this weekend I needed to. And more crying, of course. This is on top of dealing with more relocation garbage, on top of the dumpster fire of the world going on right now, and I'm breaking horribly as a result. Heck, I'm barely getting any nutrients into my body myself, pretty much only eating quickly-accessible calories because I didn't trust myself with anything more complex than opening up a bag. Please be kind to me over the next few days, maybe check in with me every now and then.

Almost there. My stomach is still very angry, but at least I slept some. I switched up the last stage so I can find a toilet without sandpaper for paper faster.

Well, that flight sucked. Nothing wrong with the flight itself, but my stomach has been very unkind to me for around a week now. And it turned unkind again two hours from AMS.

Also, totally forgot to mention that I upgraded my home server! Mostly using existing parts (plus a couple of new ones), but I merged my VM host with my NAS. I might split it apart again later (as my TrueNAS performance is less than HALF what it was on old hardware), but here it is!

That flight didn't go to plan. We ran late in departing due to delays for other flights in AMS, then they had issues with the cargo being unbalanced and went back to the gate, and now we're waiting for DTW to let us in.
