The early months of the year are all about throwing (my happy place) and getting a good amount of stock ready for spring markets, which doesn’t leave me with a lot of new work to show yet. So here are a few favorites from last year! #pottery #ceramics #chicagoartist #wheelthrown #pottersofbluesky

Just pulled the year’s first load of bisque from the kiln and filled the bottom two shelves in this pic. It’s so satisfying to run such an efficient bisque, using all the space in my kiln from @skuttkilns.bsky.social. Warms the Tetris-loving part of my soul.

Throwing an enclosed form is one of my favorite techniques, especially for lidded jars. Here’s a timelapse that demonstrates my process.
