If tsunami waves reached Oregon, the first waves would arrive around 11:40 p.m. The National Weather Service cautioned that waves could be dangerous for many hours, and the first tsunami wave or surge might not be the highest.

I spent grade school in eastern Washington, which meant most field trips involved nuclear energy. Applesauce was a nice treat. Remind me to tell you the story sometime about the summer where we got sent to every Vacation Bible School in town. 😆
