Like everyone else here… escaping the awful Musk platform and it feels good to get away from it so far.

Paint a bit. Run a bit. Do neither very well. And not simultaneously
Blimey! It’s so obvious isn’t it? Finally someone has taken the musings of Rik from the Young Ones seriously

Also today… cannot keep its credibility?! Hahaha. What credibility is that? I think that ship sailed a long time ago
November 1, 2025 at 3:51 PM
This is in the same vein as right wing press panic over a potential “mansion tax” (see attached bilge from the Mail). It’s going to hit “hard working people” is it? Suggesting that hard working people are those with properties over £2 million. They can sod off. Hard working people my arse

I am at a loss as to what to say about this woman other than she is clearly a fucking idiot
September 24, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Very much doubt it’ll get reported on the bbc. Article on their website today (mason: reform uk amplifies existing jitters for labour and conservatives) even acknowledges the lack of attention given to the Lib Dems ffs. Could find no mention of davey vs musk on the website of course.
September 16, 2025 at 5:10 AM
The thing is that many people do not read much beyond headlines. Although the BBC claimed in their response to me that the article was balanced, the headline was unnecessarily inflammatory. There may have been a handful of angry people, whipped up by Reform. Headlines like this do not help, FFS BBC
August 28, 2025 at 3:16 PM
I have also complained to the BBC about the scale of coverage of Reform etc. Waste of time of course but if enough people complain it may work. This weekend I posted that BBC website had almost 25% of news items relating to them. It’s the sensationalism of the headlines like this that worry me too
August 28, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Suggestions that Reform are setting the agenda is bollocks… it is BBC, sky, itv etc providing them with such a free and unchallenged platform to spout their nonsense without equivalent headlines from other parties or alternative views is enabling them to appear to set the agenda. This has to stop.
August 27, 2025 at 5:49 AM
Of the 25 or so headlines on the BBC politics website right now, 6 refer directly to Reform/farage, eg

-Reform prepared to deport 600,000 under migration plans
-How Reform has changed the debate on migration
-Get ready for fracking, reform uk tells energy firms

Far more than any other party
August 27, 2025 at 5:45 AM
Hey BBC! Wake up! Why are you acting as a mouthpiece for Reform? Every day they are a headline on your website.. or do no other political parties have anything to say? This is a selection from the last few days’ coverage. You are just regurgitating whatever nonsense they spout without question.
August 26, 2025 at 12:43 PM
What’s depressing but unsurprising is that the BBC still gives such prominence to this story. This was their no.1 headline this evening. And what’s shown immediately underneath is Farage “vows mass deportations to tackle small boats”. FFS BBC, get some bloody perspective and stop the sensationalism
August 23, 2025 at 9:01 PM
She claims “I definitely don't advocate violence or burning anything down or anything of the sort”, but pled guilty to doing exactly that. She now complains that she was “starmer’s political prisoner”. Complete bollocks. She really needs to stop digging in the moronic hole she has dug herself into.
August 23, 2025 at 7:58 AM
This is really interesting, James. The BBC etc obligingly repeat all of this bollocks without question. Just like the bandwagon about that girl refused entry to school because of a Union Jack dress. Where is the questioning from the media? Just repeating what’s fed to them without any challenge, FFS
August 11, 2025 at 8:26 PM
A disgraceful inflammatory report by the bbc. They just had to look at this awful woman’s Instagram account to see what sort of person she is. There is no balance in the article. It just provides an unchallenged platform for this sort of ballocks. I shall now waste my time complaining to the bbc.

I do wonder about the political genius of Saint Jeremy of Corbyn. Firstly he helped usher in Brexit by prolonged Brexit fence sitting followed by lukewarm support for remaining. Now he seems keen to open the no. 10 door to Farage. If on the other hand this leads to FPTP then perhaps he is a genius
August 4, 2025 at 2:45 PM
It’s not just the excessive coverage, it’s the absence of challenge to the bollocks they spout and the lack of pushback from “journalists”. If they must be given airtime in preference to the greens or Lib Dem’s for instance, at least they should be exposed for the shower of nasty fascists they are.
August 2, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Not only are the words dreadful (honouring the head of state & sweet FA to do with the country), the tune is completely uninspiring. Also, how come it’s the England national anthem as well as the UK one? We should be able to have a different England one even if we’re stuck with it for the uk ffs
July 13, 2025 at 7:33 PM
This is all bollocks. all sorts of areas voted more for remain than others irrespective of whether it’s England, wales, Scotland or NI. Agree that Cameron and the tories caused the problem by arranging the vote, but Cameron and Corbyn both failed us in promoting the benefits of the EU
July 13, 2025 at 7:19 AM
I tried the News Agents again… they said that the anti-EDF chanting was grabbing all the headlines. It’s only in the headlines because the media including the News Agents put it there. Ok so someone may have said something people don’t like. So what? Move on. Stop making such a big deal about it
July 1, 2025 at 9:43 AM
Coincidentally I was there too yesterday, Ned. Really interesting exhibition. Wish I’d spotted you so we could have discussed how to cope after this year when cycling isn’t on itv4!
June 25, 2025 at 11:15 AM
They remind me of some old farts in the village where I live. They get irate if anyone suggests change (we’ve always done it this way), and tut about all sorts of trivial nonsense.
The only suggestion they make is “they” should do something about it. Whoever “they” are. It’s certainly not them.
June 19, 2025 at 8:07 PM
I can just imagine what crap the tories and the toadyTory press would have spouted if starmer HADN’T picked up the papers… “starmer humiliates Britain by snubbing trump” or some bollocks like that. Why was it worthy of mention anyway?…Actually.. why am
I adding to the nonsense?… no idea..
June 18, 2025 at 7:50 PM
Sorry to hear you were in a sorry state and hope you’re feeling better now. Nice jug though
June 18, 2025 at 7:37 PM
A bit late but I just caught this. Had to turn off when they said “reform are setting the agenda”. Ffs they aren’t setting the agenda any more than other parties.. the only difference is that coverage like this bollocks makes them seem far more important and “agenda setting” than anybody else.
