I did figure out that custom split normals data is what causes this to happen even to begin with. Even if there isn't any actual data written but the custom split normals layer is active it will do it regardless

Used for making the fluff look as if its apart of the body rather than clipping through

I'll be contacting everyone who donated here soon to discuss if they want partial amounts of what was donated back.

I'm still trying to figure out the math behind how to fairly average out donations for returning based off the extra funds I have after all the bills, though.

I wanted to thank everyone who donated so fucking much. The vet bills alone weren't something I expected I would of been able to cover, especially if we decided to go full in for surgery for him.

We've started half dosing his meds starting Wednesday last week and no longer will be giving him the laxatives to see how he does.

So far he's been doin' very good! I've not noticed anything to really worry about in his behavior, he's eating/drinking properly, and using the box consistiently.

Our main focus is to continue being sure Arby gets proper fluids and assisting him with passing the rest of the blockage; same as before.

But now we got a clear cut answer that he IS getting better and aren't in a weird limbo state of worry anymore.

We saw the original vet member when we first took Arby to them. He noted how Arbiter was doing better comparatively vs. the previous visit. He was really happy to see just how much better Arbiter was doing.

Arby still was partially dehydrated though and did need more fluids.

Another update on Arby

His temps were normal for the first time today

He hasn't vomitted since last vet visit

He passed stool twice that I was able to tell since last visit

Vet said his digestive track sounded normal as if he was eating a decent amount

Im not jumping on surgery right away for him due to funds but also the risks given his age and lack of maintaining proper body temps. He also still is fighting and isn't willing himself to death and there still seems to be signs of him getting better at least when properly hydrated and medicated.

This vet was the head of the clinic and mentioned how it took a dog that ate a large bandage over a month to pass it. There still is possibly hope for Arby but its very much something to play by ear and we'll be in for the long haul if we don't jump to surgery right away.

Vet recommended against Xraying again as if we do it should be if we plan to take action on either surgery or putting him down.

Fluids is the most important thing and recommended next time he starts showing the slightest sign of worsening to take him back for getting fluids again.

Aye, I have yeah. It's not amounted to anything substantial from what I can see, though.
