Nah, it just does that. Frequent weird behavior of spinning masses that have a measure of eccentricity (non-uniform-roundness) to them. There's a kids' toy that uses a similar principle to do a clever standing trick.

We have things we can do, but it's mostly direct-action stuff. Things most people decry as "violent protest" despite the only things damaged being billionaires' property.
Some of it's working, but to be perfectly honest we're gonna need a few more Luigis before we get out of this. It's too far gone.

Not that I'm saying to give up, or to stop voting.
But like, we need to find a way to make our voices actually heard. We know they respond to money; how can we hurt their supply of money until we get decent protections?
(Community organizing, TBH, but of course we'll need to figure out specifics.)

Sugar and water become a candy syrup, when it hits ~230°F I'll whip the egg whites + salt in a whisk mixer on high, sugar @ 240° goes into the soft-peak egg merengue in a drizzle on low. Then I'll grab an ice pack and a towel.

Just put this gate up like a week ago and it already has residents!
Not entirely sure what they are; there are apparently a lot of green caterpillars in the PNW and this little buddy has no distinctive markings of any kind.
They're kinda wiggling around in there, might be a cocoon-in-progress.

Does anyone know what these shells are? I think there's a bird using this wall to crack nuts open, but I don't recognize the nuts. They almost look like fireworks shell fragments.

IDK why I thought the Dualshock thumbstick replacement would be a simple pop-it-open, pop-old-one-out, pop-new-one-in, pop-it-closed sort of operation, but.. No. This is definitely going to take some soldering.
I guess at least I've got a Pinecil in the mail to replace my ~20-yr-old RadioShack iron.
