Yeah it's weird I don't get the (seemingly recent?) fascination with continuity between Bond films. They were always standalone things to me, even when it was the same actor; each film was just its own entity and that was great. Bring in prior elements if wanted but don't be beholden to them.

Yeah that story is one of the first things that come to my mind when I think of who and what Optimus Prime is as a character to me - the absolute reverence for life in whatever form it may take and willingness to sacrifice his own for it. This does a wonderful job of representing that!
