The people who demand accuracy are the people conditioned to only understand stories a singular way; with a throughline where everything is connected. Telling a story for its own sake that deviates in an established IP isn't as popular a position as you might want to believe.

I'm not talking about famous on the internet; famous never entered the chat. I'm talking about the psychology of deep dives into lore that didn't need explained as a whole culture. Lore-accurate being a driving force. Subtlety, nuance, and the mystery of an unexplained thing never happening again.

I'm a nobody, and I conceptually agree with you here, but I think the more popular or accepted answer is a product would have to serve both interests. You might be underestimating a full generation of deep-dive lore internet culture combined with old-head purists who want to see what they read.

As you could tell from the sealing sticker over one of the screw ports on the bottom, I'd bought that genesis second hand; from a Gamestop (8 years ago to the day!) when they were getting out of that business. I took the controllers apart and cleaned them, but not the console.

I bought that SNES at a Super K-mart retail back in late '91. I'd never opened it up but I was always careful with it and kept it clean. Was it in good shape?

Really? Wild. There must have been running changes between the launch USA Nintendo with ROB and the next delivery then. I know my father bought the cpu-02 early-early. He worked in management and electronics for what used to be "Golden Circle" at the time (bought by Hills, bought by Target).

The one with the Nintendrawer is from x-mas '85 and was a ROB the robot set (thats the dim one), and the other is from a few months later but without ROB and was still a regular Control Deck. This was way before the orange gun :) Both grey zappers still work great!

For me, its an underserved market but that market may not exist forever to bank on. Reliable income comes first. As for the demands from customers, once people find someone trustworthy and skilled, they wanna pull that lever as much as they can. Also Quest64official and Blueshell3d say you are cool.
