Alcohol licensing reforms

From a public health point of view, it's... well a little disappointing...

Its almost as if there wasn't some concern about high and rising alcohol harm and it's impact on families, UKPLC and the NHS

100% what Mark says. But whilst we’d rather nothing versus industry alternative, the challenge is developing a realistic alternative in a resource strapped LA environment.
The public remains largely unaware of the extent to which the alcohol, gambling, food and other industries are very active in schools in the UK, and around the world - including developing 'educational' materials, & building links with teachers as an opportunity to peddle misinformation to children.
Thank you @theguardian.com for covering this important initiative requesting that the government acts on the concerning issue of industry influence on youth education. Children deserve high quality, trustworthy education free of conflicts of interest.

This from a think tank with well documented tobacco funding (who are also notoriously opaque in who else funds them) is a good read
Typical of the genre

Spot the difference 🔎

Left: A Guinness ad near an Irish primary school before a complaint.

Right: After the complaint - now Guinness 0.0.

A dangerous loophole lets alcohol brands dodge ad restrictions by promoting zero-alcohol products. It's time to close it.

"Here, fixed it....."
This is why we included 0% and no-lo's in our policy.
