I think the new soft shading on the sprites is a bit hit or miss. But when it works, it works beautifully-- like on the sunset scene with Ramza and Delita.

If I could remove my nostalgia glasses, and view this as purely subjective, the new dub barely wins for getting the original message across better. Also, for having Patrick Seitz as Dracula.

But the hammy acting gets me every time.

I'm torn. The new dub is more faithful to the original Japanese version, and the voice acting is pretty good. However, the old dub has far more character, partly due to the hammy acting.

I unironically love Drakkhen, and I love Dragon View too 😄

Drakkhen tried something new and novel and I absolutely adore it for that, and Dragonview is just a great game that built off the first.
