"Analog" must mean something different for you. CDs, DVDs and older digital cameras are digital, not analog.

US citizens cannot be "deported" by definition. Kidnapping or illegal rendition. Please don't call it deportation.

Given how the Trump administration is responding to court orders, perhaps that should read "A federal judge has ordered the halting of..." We actually have zero assurances that the judge's order will actually halt anything.

This can only have happened if Signal was on all those people's *non-secure*, likely personal, phones. That's a clear violation of law and of any sense of operational security. Whatcha want to bet at least one US adversary is up on at least one of those phones.

So the Republicans can attach *any* poison pill they like to a CR and you'll vote for cloture on it? Why don't you just resign?
March 14, 2025 at 11:20 PM
I'm betting there *are no* contemporaneous decision documents on any of this. It's likely all being done by the seat of the pants, verbal orders, DOGE people acting on their own to do what they know Musk will like, and Signal messages

Please vote No on cloture also.

Electrologists tend to have a favorite method. And yes, a LOT depends on skill level

Flash thermolysis is the most tolerable for most people but also has the poorest success rate. It can appear to clear large areas quickly, but hairs tend to come back more. Most techs I know use blend.

Mind you, he's not presented as one since it was filmed in 1951. But his pursuit of Leslie Caron's character is stalkery.

Enjoy the music by Gershwin and the amazing dancing, especially in the dream sequence finale with sets based on different French Impressionist painters.

The dancing is great, but Kelly's character is a sexual predator. This was my parent's favorite movie. When I saw it, I yelled out, "Shut up and dance!"

Another thing from this order that isn't getting any press I've seen are the rewards for trans people "voluntarily" resigning (getting to keep bonuses, etc.) and punisments for those who don't quit and are instead "involuntarily" separated (having to them pay back)

I'm afraid that most journalists seem unable to read primary source documents and interpret them in detail. Everything tends to be dumbed down to fit a simple predetermined narrative.
February 26, 2025 at 10:57 PM
I really wish that journalists, especially careful and detailed ones like @emptywheel, would stop claiming that judges have "halted" things. They have "ordered halts". Unlike past administrations, there should be no automatic assumption that court orders will be obeyed and implemented.
