I also do #poetry.
I take it this is a bit of a 'poisoned chalice' role, then?

I have repeatedly failed to write novels 😂
I write blog in a number of places.
I think that (lack of) perseverance is my limiting factor; the short(er) form-factor suits me best.

Yes, my poem 'Salute' which uses "Little Mix' as the acrostic. I expected girl-group bubblegum and got authoritarianism. See: odemap.substack.com/p/salute-fro...

A bit of both. I tend to know the 'direction' I want the mood to go, so I usually have some words (flow) that meet that. Then I write / refine to fit the acrostic.
How about you?

My creative writing is mostly poetry, so I find that using acrostics is a great way to make me think creatively about what I want to say. One of my favourites is 'Paranoid': odemap.substack.com/p/paranoid-a...

Good question!
For me it's one or more of: Alone time; variety of environments; an unforced schedule/agenda; opportunities to go for a walk.
There are others, but those are what, in my mind, are the most important for sparking creativity.

Andrea Camilleri.
Sicilian author extraordinary.
Did he play piano?
Or just create Inspector Montalbano?

Here in North Somerset, the council app sends me a notice, around midday the day before, telling me which bins to put out that night.
