The Avvar lore has always been on such a peripheral part of the DA universe but it's absolutely crazy to read this codex in #DAO that's basically word for word talking about the destruction of Titan hearts for Elf bodies... I'm reeling, the crumbs were always there

This is almost certainly intentional but it's really cool how the Long Walk codex in #DAO basically 1 for 1 parallels the book of Exodus in the Bible ... all that's missing is manna lmao

My partner just pointed out to me that these...bits in the Mage Tower during Broken Circle look /a lot/ like the Blight blisters in #Veilguard ....... That's insane

I think it's really interesting that Mythal is said to have walked out of the "sea." There's a couple mentions of the "sea" in the #DAO codexs. I think it's a neat parallel between - what is obviously - the Fade and the ocean of Lyrium in Dissent

I can't read "hugging himself" without thinking of the #Solavellan ending in #Veilguard ): He was doubled in on himself so much before Lavellan showed up #DAO

Okay I actually think it's really interesting how Elgar'nan's original story in #DAO says that he darkened the sky and be rid of the sun.... and the climax in #Veilguard happens during an eclipse. Very very cool parallel.

OKAY BUT WAIT...!! Just outside of the werewolf hq is a bunch of green flickering lights! THIS must be Veilfire and whatever Solas used in the post Haven scene must be different, magical(?) fire for common use, like lighting the forest paths. FASCINATING

It's probably something to do with the lighting but the fires in DAO actually look closer to the fire Solas lights after the Haven battle than it does to the other Veilfires in Inquisition.... huh.....

FOUND IT. It's from the codex "The History of the Chantry: Chapter 2." If I can find more mentions of Andraste and honey, I'll be sold on this theory.... for now I sound insane

I just realized (while replaying Redcliffe) that the flower model they use for the "wild's flower" here is the SAME one they use for Leli's "Andraste's Grace" .... Coincidence??? (1: Wild's flower, 2: Andraste's Grace)

So has anyone ever thought really hard about how in #DAO we just...find a flower in the Korcari Wilds that somehow cures our future Mabari of his Darkspawn taint? And the implications on a potential cure to the Calling? Because that's where I'm at right now

More of us should've realized that there was something freaky happening with spirits being people when it was established in #DAO that severing the connection to the Fade deletes emotions..... like that kinda just spells it out a bit, huh

I was already toying with writing Anders and Justice the way we see Lucanis and Spite in Veilguard - that the possessed can see their spirits reflected as physical manifestations of themselves but everyone around them only sees them talking to themselves - but this codex in #DAO just sold me on it

So my current theory is that this codex in #DAO is talking about the massive caves and pools of blood underneath Kirkwall that the Enigma codex in #DA2 talks about. I think that the infrastructure under Kirkwall is what remains of Tevinter's attempt to map the Fade. We know after Trespasser that

Reading this codex in #DAO after playing Veilguard feels like the Rivaini playing a prank on Genitivi because he's a "gullible idiot from the uneducated south who knows nothing about spirits in comparison to the north," yk? Like "This guy still thinks wisps are are demons, get a load of him" lmfao
