What monstrosity? I guess I missed it

The thing about development is you put the code you want 😂
September 5, 2023 at 7:10 AM
$0.30 is 150K tokens, that's a lot... Like 112K words approx... What did you feed it with? Or what did you ask it to generate?

How did you consume OpenAI api, an app already made or your own code? Conversation with memory?

Did you send repetitive calls, like a for loop for making many completions?

You can use it for free, can't you?

LLM like GPT3. 5/4 are bad at Math. That's understandable, they are Large Language Models, with an emphasis on Language...
But what they can do is write a Python function that will return the correct math answer (if you execute the python code).

Do they believe their content is superior and must be protected from the AI eyes? So lame. Openai doesn't need their content, there will always be grmood enough or better content available to train the models without them
September 1, 2023 at 9:54 PM
That's very hipocritical from them though... I'm sure they are happily using OpenAI to generate content, and also publishing books that have been partly written with the help of ChatGPT /OpenAI
September 1, 2023 at 9:52 PM
That's a lame move. Such lame Attempts at stopping the progress, that'd could otherwise be good for everyone, is simply disgusting!
Anyway I'm not surprised by publishers doing that

You can use
import langchain
langchain.debug = True
And you'll see everything that happens as well as token counts and costs I believe.
Are you using an Agent?

What is your machine?

Wondering, how do you do the button holes? Do you have a button holer attachement or is there a manual way (using a vintage sewing machine without attachement I mean)? Thanks in advance.

BTW, here's one of my 2 Singer 😉

The MK-90 ranges from $300 to 600.... It seems expensive to me right now... I'd love to have one though... (better if it's in box with user manual and all...)
September 1, 2023 at 8:18 PM
Yes I know! Also great magazines!

Do you read Russian? (I don't, translating that was a pain of using Lens to scan and translate every single column 😂 and make sense of the translation)

That's a nice vitrine ! 😍 I have some of the calculators displayed there. 48S, Ti92, I believe Isee a Casio FX-7000GA too. The HP Voyager are likely (my guess) a 12 and a 15C?

There's also a gem, the MK-90 portable BASIC computer! The screen is gigantic, and it's compatible with the PDP-11! I which I would find one (with a reasonable/cheap price)

I had no idea! Haha it's cute.

I'm happy with my vintage one though.

I usually prefer the original editions to new editions. Like the so called HP-15C Collector's Edition, WTF?!

Have a look at that. I never understood how to operate the eeprom either, the manual is badly translated. But I found a very interested article I ended up translating this year 👇. Enjoy (it's complex as F to be honest...)

How to use the EEPROM on the MK-52

Why not try Forth maybe, instead of RPN with Python or C?

Forth is like the programming language (it's actually more than that) for RPN lovers 💏
September 1, 2023 at 7:57 PM
How do I get to learn Haskell, is there some awese tutorial put there? Thanks
September 1, 2023 at 7:56 PM
RPN for the win!
September 1, 2023 at 7:55 PM
It sure does! I post a lot 😂 (not all of them on the picture)
September 1, 2023 at 7:53 PM
Try to find an MK-52, it has permanent memory (with an onboard eeprom). Here's a picture of mine. It usually comes with the user manual and even schematics.
They sell it on Ebay from Ukraine 🇺🇦.
