here's a fun question i thought of: when you get a new controller (or other similar device) are there any games/genres you test it out on to make sure it's worth its salt?

my go to is puzzle games, and i labbed a new controller on Tetris Effect yesterday; this morning I tried it with Lumines Arise.

I actually finished something in my Metroid Prime hard mode run- I completed the logbook, which means every single enemy, lore, and other important item in the game is scanned!

On my original playthrough I only missed this one enemy (the Ice Shriekbat), so I just needed to scan it on the replay.

Finally got 100% logbook in Metroid Prime Remastered partway through the Hard Mode test run I’m doing- really glad logbook carries over from clear files.

If I do beat the game on hard I’ll have all extras! We’ll see if that happens before December 4th, if at all.

Finally finished Super Metroid! I still have a couple issues with it- mostly the walljumps being mushier than stepping in cake- but I still appreciate it for how important it is to the Metroidvania genre. An incredible game for 1994.

Still playing Metroid Prime on hard, still enjoying it.

Started a new hard mode run of Metroid Prime Remastered, and been chipping away at both that and Super Metroid (which I’ve never finished). So ready for December 4th.
