That said, I totally support you in challenging the Telegraph's fossil fuelled campaign of relentless negativity about heat pumps (Thank you!) We need all hands on deck to get heat pumps rolled out as quickly as possible.
But pick your arguments: Do HPs win on overall environmental impact? 100% ...

Realistic prices for quality products can be found at (eg) www.wolseley.co.uk/renewables/a.... But even these prices are for the external unit only. You'll need a lot more parts for the average HP installation (eg: controls, valves, new radiators, new pipework, hot water cylinder, volumiser...)

If you want the £7500 grant then you can only install units that have been approved by MCS as meeting minimum quality standards (see mcscertified.com/product-dire... )

... test centres, warranties on manufacturing quality, ranges of readily available accessories (eg:control units) etc etc etc.
All of that costs, but is necessary if the installations are going to be reliable and economic to run.

You don't say where you found that ad. I'm guessing Alibaba??
Reputable installers will be buying from reputable manufacturers. That means: UK based technical support and spares departments, training provision, manuals written specifically for the UK market, performance data from EU/UK approved...

I've not read the article itself as behind paywall. Solely based on your quote though, they appear to be comparing installed price of HP with installed price of gas boiler which seems fair. Their HP price may be somewhat inflated, but still fairer than your bargain basement unit-only comparison.

Hate to say it, but the Telegraph are closer than you to the truth on this occasion. The cost of a heat pump installation involves much more than just the heat pump itself. Often many radiators and cylinder also need upgrading. And that advert you've found is not a unit that any reputable UK ...

Your suggestion that they might become unbanned in future doesn't really make sense: If they're banned then they can't exist which means they can't change behaviours to permit unbanning

There are plenty of laws that the government can use against people damaging government property. But invoking anti-terror laws against an organisation that has no history or intention of causing terror is overkill in my opinion. I suspect their intention is to intimidate all anti-genocide protest
