good thing we have a local and native-owned cruise ship here in sitka if you ever want to visit the area
this is my home, my family has lived here for thousands of years and it’s beautiful, breathtaking, and magical

if you ever decide to come visit for a vacation, consider checking out alaska dream cruises

it’s local and native owned to sitka

sweet!

this summer they had a local, mary goddard, on board who was doing a #90DayNative food challenge where she only ate foods native to alaska

the chefs on board created beautiful dishes for her and i hope they offer more courses like this for future cruises

the moms migrate to give birth but a lot of the males stick around
November 13, 2025 at 1:13 AM
possibly… but some of them don’t even migrate south anymore. they stay here in southeast alaska and occasionally hang around the hatcheries

it’s sad when you think how much public funding these energy companies get to continue ruining our land and environment

utgiaqvik got like, $200m-$300m to assist with combating land erosion and i thought kivalina should have got that money to relocate

but the oil companies needed it more, i guess
