I agree with all that, but if you sign Bassey (who is a good 3rd stringer but he is not a top backup) and play him above Bona, what message do you send him ? Basically telling him we absolutely not believe in you and your trade value is down too

I like Bassey too, but we have Biid, Bona, Drum, Broome (who do not really count but still a early 2nd round rook), Barlow, Even some Walker. Its hard to bring another C. A point guard would be good

Im okay with Barlow starting, or playing 20 or so min. But we cant close games with a non shooter in the PO’s I think

I would go with Oubre at the 3 and PG at the 4, or Grimes if Oubre’s shooting is really off. Still worried about Embiid’s rebounding/activity, but as of right now I’d say the priority for me is having maximum spacing in the lineup, over a good defender. Teams are really not respecting DB’s shot

And he still could have made either one of is quick layup after driving by KAT or another one using the glass. He was good at it last year, the more he plays the more its gonna come back hopefully

Same. Unless he catches fire from deep, he is below Average in everything else, and some really bad reps with the ball in his hands. I think we may have overrated him after a season were everything went bad

Just too much defensive lineups from Nurse lately, and too many minutes with 2 non shooters or guys that the opposing defense can just give a Little attention and be okay with it

Yeah just go bigger in the last 5mins, its all half court and slow tempo. But why when you cant score in the 3rd have Walker at the 4 with Drum? Same in the first half. Just play a bit smaller in those moments and have 4 players that can shoot/attack a closeout and that defenders cant leave

Yeah I agree. And one more way to find mins for Jared, its to play him above guys who aren’t as good. I mean couple games ago he played 21min and JE too. Last game, we had 13mî of McCain and nearly 40 (!) of Barlow+Walker at the 4. This cannot happen

Even last year in the few games he played, it took some time for’Nurse to really trust him, while he was basically one of our best performers. It seems like he really is not a fan of McCain size and wingspan defensively and that scares him out
