I should say, I think a lot of the illustrated overs are targeting this new adult group. (Although I also read the new adult books, and I am an extremely not new adult.)

The explosion of teen lit over the last 20 years and the phenomenon of older teen and new adult has made it hard for teens (and their parents) to navigate the collections. I’ve been thinking about this a lot, too. I love the books, but maybe libraries need to subdivide more?
