It’s rare that I paint the same image twice, but I really loved this one and it sold a couple of years ago. It’s wild to see the growth over the last five years.

Recreating this painting that I did a few years ago and loved. I “accidentally” sold it (I forgot I had it for sale on a site…it lives in Norway now). This one is much smaller, but I don’t have a ton of wall space for huge paintings these days anyway. Looking forward to having it back on my wall.

For those who don’t know me, I’ve got a kid overseas on a fellowship that would have required her to work in public health for a year when she gets back. She’s pretty convinced that there’ll be no public health by the time she gets back. Plus she’s Black and a woman, so…

Today is my wee one’s 16th birthday. This kid is the goth pixie child of your dreams. Funny, smart, kind, an old person in a young person’s body. The only thing they wanted for their 16th birthday was to get their septum pierced, so this is 16. Happy Birthday, Zion Sage!
