Finished in July: 📕 Rachel Carson: Pioneer of Ecology by Kathleen V. Kudlinski. I found this in a #littlefreelibrary. I didn't really know anything about her and this was a great overview. Well researched and well written. #Nonfiction books written for tweens are often solid intros to a subject.

Finished in July: 🎧 Spiderlight by Adrian Tchaikovsky, read by the author. Finally, I've read one of Tchaikovsky's books! He's a brilliant writer and very good narrator! Hey, I like spiders. If you don't, heed the title, heavy spider content. #Fantasy

Finished in July: 🎧 Automatic Noodle by Annalee Newitz, read by Em Grosland. Cozy, post-apocalyptic, novella about robots running a restaurant. Some peril. Inherently queer. If you Becky Chambers' books, you will like this. Stand out narration on the audiobook too!

Finished in July: 🎧 The Phoenix Keeper by S. A. Maclean, read by Stephanie Bentley. Cozy novel about an anxious, queer zookeeper, who wants to restore the endangered phoenix population. Enemies to lovers. This was cute but the main character annoyed me quite a bit. #QueerBooks #AudioBooks

Finished in June: 🎧 The Emperor and the Endless Palace by Justinian Huang read by Dylan J. Locke, Will Dao, Telly Leung. A multiple lifetime spanning queer romantasy. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of "on screen" sex, definitely a book for adults. I wanted more from the ending. #QueerBooks

Finished in June: 🎧 How Far the Light Reaches: A Life in Ten Sea Creatures by Sabrina Imbler, read by the author. Essays about sea creatures, being queer, and race. This conservation journalist is an effecting writer, and a great narrator. I cried multiple times as I listened #QueerBooks #Nonfiction

Finished in June: 🎧 Hi Honey, I’m Homo! by Matt Baume read by the author. An entertaining examination of the relationship between queerness and the American sitcom. Baume's writing is snappy and interesting. He's also a great narrator. Highly recommend to sitcom fans. #QueerBooks #Nonfiction

Finished in April: 📕Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel (now an HBO miniseries). Survivors of a devastating flu attempt to rebuild and reimagine the world anew while holding on to the best of what's been lost. Published in 2014. This book made me feel unsettled and hopeful. Pleasingly layered.
