As its ninth (!) anniversary is coming up, my mood is shifting to Let It Die. I still want to stream Killer7 a little more this month, but I don't want to force myself if I'm genuinely not in the mood, and I of course can stream it during anniversary if I need a break from LiD.

To my shock, Windows Restore actually worked, restoring everything with a little wonkiness, but only after trying a bunch of other options first. I should have everything important backed up already, but wouldn't hurt to double check in case this happens again...

I find myself increasingly put off from so many different sphers of the Internet these days because of how much of it is driven by "hate clicks" and being on edge at all times. I'm not expecting people to be happy about everything, but it's not hard to have some sense of scale and perspective here.

Have you read any of Raymond Chandler's ideas on crime/detective fiction? The Simple Art of Murder is his most famous critique, but he frequently wrote about his issues and struggles with the format (both broadly and introspectively as a writer himself).

On that note, with the Big Boss Saga effectively being a laughable chain of "missings links," I think it'd be hysterical if Konami just leaned into the joke and released a MGS Master Collection: Missing Chain Edition. May as well have some fun with it.
