DevOps/Software Engineer. I have way too many hobbies
This has not been my experience. It pushed it once on update and I think one more time as a notification and hasn't mentioned it since. That being said, I could not tell you the difference between Sonoma and Sequoia since I don't use Apple Intelligence.

The ones I've done they refused to give any feedback, so it was a waste of time through and through

These types of interviews (for me at least) aren't even worth it to attempt, especially if you're not getting paid.

A lesson I learned the hard way is if they give you the option to split up a panel across multiple days, do it. Interviewing for 4-6 hours straight is exhausting, especially when you're masking the whole time trying to come off confident and interesting.

Also understanding that LeetCode in itself is its own skill and it is okay if you suck at it at first. I had to watch a lot of explanations from NeetCode before I could solve the harder problems on my own, and I still suck at it.

I'm really bad at interviewing. It is an entirely different skill to the actual job, which sucks. Spamming LeetCode (NeetCode is a good place to start) and reading Grokking the System Design Interview was the only thing that worked for me to make me feel more confident during interviews.

Best of luck, you've got this!

From my job search in February last year, I applied for 95 positions, interviewed with 7 companies. (These are optimistic numbers, I got pretty lucky imo) I just stopped bothering with the companies that required any take home work. At least for me, number of applications was worth more.

I experienced this during my first few years as an engineer back in 2017, then again when I reached Senior. It died off with the pandemic and the layoffs.

Sorry to hear you got laid off. Last year in February, my manager at the time helped me move into my apartment, then subsequently let me go the next morning.

This is what I used to find my current position. Used to be called Otta

It's kind of like Tinder for job searching, with a lot of nice preferences to what you're looking for in a company.

Oh yeah, we have some people that use Aider pretty heavily and others that don't even use AI chatbots. It's completely preference!

Software Engineer II is our mid level. Software Engineer III is senior. The Platform Engineer - Middleware positions are for my team. Need prior knowledge of Platform skills like managing Kafka and using Terraform for those.

Let me know if you'd like a referral for any of the positions.

We don't develop anything AI, but we are open about using AI tools for coding like GitHub Copilot in vscode.

We're fully remote so unfortunately the Dublin positions probably won't relocate or offer visas, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I believe we are but we're in the iGaming industry, so not sure how comfortable people are with the business domain. We make a Sportsbook.

eBay has also been a great place to find open box items at a huge discount. Got my av receiver for 40% off the new price.

Been thinking about picking up a Sony a7rv for a while now, this is making me want to just do it.
