These books are brilliant and a refreshing change from the usual sci fi fare out there. I highly recommend Doug’s books, they are a great read and will make you think. (and no, Doug @dpscifi.bsky.social didn't tell me to write this!)

This is a thought provoking question. Graphene super laminate (GSL) is a three dimensional bulk material made of individual layers of a two dimensional material stacked in a sandwich like structure. You are right that this is one of the strongest materials ever made.
