What are your thoughts on using Funetik Aksent (Phonetic Accent)? I use it sparingly. It is hard to do well and quickly; it becomes offensive. I study books written by authors from that culture for reference. I just read a book passage that does it very badly.

Indie books have a reputation for being poorly written and riddled with mistakes, an opinion is unfairly thrust upon indie authors. Recently, I've found a lot of books that reflect this. I read the samples and think, "An editor, they would have caught this or helped you reword it."

Do you think romance is ruining other genres, like fantasy? Or that as a genre it is easy to write? Or all the same. These are arguments being made in another group I’m in. As romance reader/writer; I found these arguments infuriating and dismissive. I work very hard and put a lot in into my writing
