Seems like a good time to remind us about how bad a Prime Minister Stephen Harper was, and how bad he’s been since losing, putting all his energy into championing extreme right wing autocrats around the world, including Trump/MAGA.

Harper was campaigning with Poilievre yesterday. Two peas in a pod.
Every time Pierre Poilievre brings up Mark Carney’s history with Justin Trudeau as an attack (which will be pretty much constant), Canadians should remember Poilievre’s much longer/ongoing (and much more concerning) relationship with Stephen Harper. And through Harper, every right-wing autocrat.

New attack ads from Poilievre have the epic nerve to claim Carney will do what Trump wants.

This from the guy who is supported by everyone who supports Trump, cheered on the extremist trucker occupation, steals Trump lies & lines, and won’t get a normal security clearance.

He thinks we’re morons.
Pierre Poilievre used a lot of his speech today to really, really insist that he’s not a “MAGA-MAN.”

You know who doesn’t have to try so hard to make that argument? Someone who hasn’t spent years making it really, REALLY clear that he’s absolutely a maga-man.
It’s not a coincidence that the same awful people who like Trump, wanted him to have power and used their influence and platforms to get him elected, also like Pierre Poilievre, want him to have power and will use their influence and platforms to try to get him elected.

They’re on the same team.

I'm so envious of Canada. Imagine getting to pick your next leader and one of the choices isn't a batshit crazy, stupid sociopath . . .

You can’t overstate the historic importance of today’s speech to both American and Canadian citizens by Canada’s Prime Minister.

Please watch it and share it wherever you live, but especially if you’re in the United States. You need to know what Trump is doing, and why. youtu.be/wz_42pckM7w

A lot of the same people who told me that “Canada will be fine” the day after the U.S. Election in November are the ones telling me that Canada will be fine if Pierre Poilievre wins the Canadian election this year.

Trudeau: We’re probably going to keep booing the American anthem. But let me tell Americans, we're not booing you. We're booing a policy that is designed to hurt us.

But we're Canadian. We're going to fight. And we're going to win.

Not every Canadian Pierre Poilievre supporter is a Trump supporter.

But every Canadian Trump supporter is a Pierre Poilievre supporter.

That’s a big red flag. #TeamCanada
You know which Canadian has done nothing useful to support Canada during Trump’s trade war crisis?

Pierre Poilievre.

Not surprising considering his record supporting Trump, MAGA & the extremist Trucker convoy, attacks on media, connection to Stephen Harper, and refusal to get a security clearance.

READ THIS: “We found there’s this perfect one-to-one relationship. If a city increased its road capacity by 10% then driving in that city went up by 10%.” Still one of the best articles on why building bigger roads leads to more driving. Understanding #InducedDemand via @wired.com
What's Up With That: Building Bigger Roads Actually Makes Traffic Worse
The concept is called induced demand, which is economist-speak for when increasing the supply of something (like roads) makes people want that thing even more. Though some traffic engineers made note ...

Voting is harm reduction. We do not vote for perfection but for progress, step by step.

If you have to pinch your nose while you do it, then do it. But "They all suck" is defeatist BS that only benefits the worst people in politics.

Dangerous Strong Winds expected in Hamilton this afternoon.

Winds could dislodge large icicles hanging off buildings, utility lines, etc.

As a downtown resident, I advise avoiding using north-side sidewalks on east-west streets [icicles are result of daytime melt/freeze cycles] #HamOnt
