There are ways of planning communities that increase density around amenities where cost is offset by adding value. Plenty of great examples. However this takes political will and developers will default to a poor quality default in absence of this.

Yes sorry wasn’t referring to your stats - I think it was noted recently that the Government have started announcing UK figures when saying they are in track for 1.5m. Will find link if possible.

Overall social housing has been a net generator of income for the state. It’s insane that such an essential good is treated as anything other than core to our national wellbeing.

3) Ultimately, migration shouldn’t be managed by the same government department as crime and domestic security. It should be its own department - with a focus on community cohesion, infrastructure, and the country’s real economic needs.
