Too right, but I’ve just seen these beauty’s at the Nene Valley Brewery to help with the sadness. I’m hoping to head over tomorrow to pick up some samples.

I hope that you picked up a few local ales. The Oundle Waitrose often has a few beers from the Potbelly Brewery in Kettering. The Nene Valley brewery is also very close and I highly recommend their bourbon barrel aged Russian imperial stout. One of my favourites.

I called by the site of the Sutton Cross this morning. I was quite sad/disappointed to see the state of the site. I really thought that it may have been restored again by now. I took the picture with the cross intact in 2015.

For the first time in a couple of years I risked crossing the footbridge by the River Nene. There’s a hungry tree close by you have to sneak past quietly.
