Struggling to take the Irish Times’s transparently jealous attack on my home town seriously. Fairly sure there’s significant amounts of protein in any dairy product.
“Sydney is and has always been a vain city. It is LA-like in its obsession with appearances, pressing on its people to stay slim but retain muscles, and to be brown but to have skin undamaged by the sun. The gyms are packed. The footpaths are overtaken by run clubs. People have “going out” sets of active wear and actual active wear that they don’t mind sweating in. Everything in the supermarket now has protein in it. Even in places it doesn’t belong – cheesecake, chocolate milk.”

The bigger story here is that Base64 has evolved to become Turing-complete.
Searches for the hashtag #cyclonealfred led to a blank page with an explanation: "Posts with cyclonealfred are temporarily hidden here. Some content in those posts goes against our Community Standards." More advanced searches leveraging Facebook's native programming language (Base64) to extract specific keywords also had no results.

Email to The Guardian about article “Trump signs executive order banning trans athletes from women’s sports”: “The order would affect only a small number of athletes.” This is incorrect. The order will affect every female athlete, transgender or not, who will be forced to prove they are in compliance with it. The Daily Mail gives better coverage of this issue than The Guardian. Shame on you.
