This was the most fun I've ever had playing a modern Pokémon game. The combat wasn't as real time as I hoped, but it still made the gameplay loop feel fast and fresh. The story, characters, and pacing far exceed Legends: Arceus. Generation 10 has a lot to live up to!

This game is such an interesting combination of Telltale choose-your-own-adventure mechanics, capeslop, and 2020s television tropes, but I don't think it's quite expansive enough to hit the mark completely. I thought it was fun though! And an impressive first outing from a small studio.

The best Metroidvania I've played so far. There was a point where the game just *clicked* for me, and it went from confusing to enthralling to navigate. The game looks gorgeous, it plays beautifully, I had no idea what the fuck was going on, and I hope they make a sequel!

Serviceable DLC with some fun ideas. If it was free I wouldn't have any complaints, but you'd have to be out of your mind to think this is worth $20. For 1/3 the price of the base game, you get what amounts to one bonus world with reused assets.

After playing for tens of hours, I finally reached the "end" in Hades' main story, and I still only feel like I've scratched the surface of what the game has to offer. It's one of those games I keep on me at all times, just in case I get bored. I wish they would make a sequel! I wish...

I really wanted to like this game, but the lackluster presentation and typical Pokémon grind turned it into a slog. The pacing is incredibly slow. The setting, while interesting, is let down by an underwhelming story. Hoping Legends: Z-A improves on these issues...

If the movement in Odyssey was crazy, Bananza takes that freedom and cranks it up to 11. Every level is vibrant and expansive, and you can strip each one down to the studs. It's a loving tribute to every era of DK, on top of being the best 3D platformer in years.

It's hard to overstate how important this game feels to me. Deltarune is the kind of game that will define a generation. It almost goes without saying, but both of the new chapters were great! And the Switch 2 version is the canon one because I can play Pluey AS INTENDED!!

The scope of World is HUGE. The races are bigger, longer, seamless, there's so many tricks and shortcuts to pull off... but in practice, it feels kind of hollow. It was fun to three-star everything, but I'm not sure I'll be revisiting it as much as 8. THAT SOUNDTRACK THOUGH OUUGH

Playing this game really makes you feel like the space god Knull from the planet Klyntar. The gameplay is more polished and satisfying than the first game, and the symbiote feels like crack to use. It makes me a better Spider-Man... and they gave Mary Jane a gun! Awesome!

A fantastic 3D platformer that never runs out of ideas. Every level is filled with so much atmosphere and so many physics objects... it does a great job at retaining a unique identity while also paying homage to the entire PlayStation library. One of the best reasons to buy a PS5.

I enjoyed the gameplay of Signalis more than I expected to. It feels like a streamlined version of the early Resident Evil games, which I like! The narrative is heady and confusing at times, but I enjoyed and appreciated what I was able to glean from it. And there's yuri! Sad yuri :(

I can't remember the last time something had this much of an impact on me. The mysteries of Hinamizawa are compelling and fun to figure out, but ultimately set dressing to a beautiful and realistic story about love and trust. I will carry this game with me forever.

It took me like two months to finish the first two cases but I breezed through the last three in less than a week. I really liked the overarching mystery and legacy callbacks in this one, and I'm going to miss Franziska, Gumshoe, and Kay a lot!
