It seems that Banksy has just appeared in Lviv

We already know that in these difficult times, the world's most famous street artist has chosen Ukraine.

Art as resistance. Art as solidarity. Art as voice.
When the world watches, artists speak.

What's your message? 🇺🇦

An experiment in #watercolor using the #zornpalette for a #portrait. I think this would have been more fun in #oilpaint. I have a second #wip on my desk that is closer to Zorn's watercolor pigment use. #painting #portraitpainting

#watercolor #painting of my #cat #brisco when she invaded the #stilllife I set up for my students. Also my new artist tape sucks, I guess I’m looking for a new brand. Again.

I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here:

Because they are evil, we must stand up to them.

But because they are also stupid, we needn’t be afraid to.

Wow. RIP to a true legend - Jules Feiffer.
Woke to the sad news we've lost Jules Feiffer just a few days before his 96th birthday. I can think of no better way to honor his passing than by sharing this cartoon from half a century ago which described a different president, who I thought back then was the worst we'd ever see. I was wrong. RIP

I did this week’s Still Here, Still Life as the warmup for my advanced painting class. It’s just acrylic in a sketchbook, but way out of character for what I usually do. I ran out of time before the top. #stilllife #stillherestilllife #painting #sketchbook
